What Drain Fly Warning Signs Can Tell You
Small flies near drains are reporting organic film, not a fly problem in the ordinary sense. Drain flies breed in the layer of material that builds on the inside of a drain line, a trap or a slow sink, and the adults emerging from it are the visible end of a cycle happening a few inches away. That is why they cluster at one fixture rather than drifting through the house.
The useful test is which drain. Covering a suspect drain overnight and checking what has gathered under the cover in the morning narrows it faster than any treatment does, and it costs nothing. A house with several affected fixtures is usually reporting a shared line rather than several separate problems.
What this sign cannot tell you is whether the material is reachable. Some of it is in a trap that can be cleaned and some is further down a line that belongs to the plumbing rather than to pest control. We will tell you which we are looking at.

A Local, Family Owned Team in South Hill
Rozier is a family owned, faith-driven company based in South Hill. Because moisture is what invites termites and rodents in the first place, real prevention starts below the surface.
We treat the infestation and correct the moisture conditions that caused it, instead of handing you to a second contractor.
Each home we visit is assessed through a pest lens and a moisture lens, because underneath a house they are the same problem.
We do not arrive with a predetermined treatment and a timer running. What we propose follows from what we find.
Children, pets and sensitive family members are part of the decision about what gets used and how it is applied.
