Crawl Space Encapsulation: Solutions and Next Steps
Each one is matched to what is actually causing the problem at your property, not to a standard package.
How We Finish a Crawl Space Encapsulation
A sealed crawl space is a system, not a sheet of plastic. Once the liner is down and the vents are closed, the space stops exchanging air with the outside, and whatever moisture is still getting in has nowhere to go on its own. These two methods handle what is left after the seal: insulation board on the foundation wall, which is where the heat loss moves once the vents are shut, and a sump pump with battery backup, which handles water that arrives from below rather than from the air.
Which one a crawl space needs, or whether it needs both, comes out of the inspection. A space that is dry but cold is a different job from one that takes on water in a heavy rain. The battery backup matters here specifically because the storms that produce the most water are the ones most likely to take the power with them.
This page does not cover structural repair. That work is on our crawl space repair pages.

Learn moreA Local, Family Owned Team in South Hill
Rozier is a family owned, faith-driven company based in South Hill. Because moisture is what invites termites and rodents in the first place, real prevention starts below the surface.
We treat the infestation and correct the moisture conditions that caused it, instead of handing you to a second contractor.
Each home we visit is assessed through a pest lens and a moisture lens, because underneath a house they are the same problem.
We do not arrive with a predetermined treatment and a timer running. What we propose follows from what we find.
Children, pets and sensitive family members are part of the decision about what gets used and how it is applied.
