What Affects the Cost
Pricing depends on the size of the property, the extent of the problem, and how easy the area is to access.
The treatment, the vacuuming and the vet visit are three parts of one job.
Why does a flea problem come back after the house has been treated? Because most of the population was never adult fleas. At any moment, adults are a small share of what is in a home. The rest is eggs that have rolled off the pet into carpet and bedding, larvae feeding in the fibers, and pupae wrapped in sticky cocoons that pick up dust and lint until they are almost invisible. A pupa can sit in that cocoon for weeks, and it emerges when it senses warmth, vibration or the breath of a passing host. A treatment that reaches adults and larvae still leaves the pupae waiting.
Indoor treatment goes where the life cycle continues. We apply product to carpet, rugs, the base of upholstered furniture, along baseboards and floor edges, under beds and cushions, and around the places the pet sleeps and rests. Pet bedding should be washed or replaced rather than treated. Hard floors get attention at the cracks and edges where eggs collect. The treatment is aimed at the stages that are developing, not just the adults you can see.
Then the part that depends on you. You must vacuum daily for seven days after the treatment. This is a condition of the work, not a suggestion. Vacuuming does three things. It removes eggs and larvae before they develop. It picks up the debris that pupae hide in. Most of all, the vibration and warmth prompt pupae to emerge, and a newly emerged flea crossing a treated carpet is exactly what the plan needs. Skipping the vacuuming week is the most common reason a flea treatment has to be repeated. Empty the vacuum into a sealed bag outside each time.
The pet must be treated by a veterinarian at the same time. An untreated animal is a reservoir that reseeds the house faster than any treatment can work, and an animal on a product that is not working is the same. The vet handles the animal, we handle the property, and the two have to run together rather than one after the other.
With the vacuuming done and the pet treated, one or two treatments resolve most infestations. How complete a result is achievable depends on the property. Homes with animals coming and going, a crawl space where wildlife rests, or heavy outdoor pressure at the yard margins can take longer, and where we see that we will tell you. What we commit to is bringing the population down to the lowest practical level, and for most homes that ends the problem.
We choose the treatment method based on what we find during the inspection and the type of pest problem on the property.
Generic advice treats every market identically. Humid summers, wooded lots and a great deal of older housing stock give this region a moisture profile that drives both structural damage and pest pressure, which is why our diagnosis starts with where the home sits and how it is built, not just with the symptom you called about.
For much of the year the outside air across this region holds more moisture than the air under a crawl space. That inverts the assumption foundation vents were built on. Warm, humid air enters through the vents, meets the cooler surfaces beneath the floor, and condenses on joists, ductwork and insulation. The vents intended to dry the space are wetting it instead.
That single mechanism explains most of what we are called out for. Damp framing softens and decays. Mold establishes and its odor rises into the living space through the floor. Termites, cockroaches and rodents are drawn to exactly those conditions. Treating the insects without addressing the moisture underneath simply resets the clock.
Around Lake Gaston and across the forested parts of Mecklenburg, Brunswick, Warren and Halifax counties, shade and tree cover keep soil damp well after the surrounding area has dried. Standing water lingers, foundations stay wet longer after rain, and mosquito habitat persists through more of the season. Properties like these frequently need drainage attention before any treatment is worth doing.
Petersburg and Danville in particular carry a great deal of older housing, and age brings construction details that predate current moisture practice: open crawl spaces with bare soil, wood in direct contact with the ground, original drainage that has silted up, and decades of accumulated repairs. An inspection of a house like that has to read the whole system rather than one symptom.
The signs below are the most common pest and moisture indicators we see in homes in our region. Any of them is worth having looked at during an inspection.
Our specialists evaluate the underlying cause before recommending any work. Inspections are at no cost and there's no obligation to proceed.
Rozier is a family owned, faith-driven company based in South Hill. Because moisture is what invites termites and rodents in the first place, real prevention starts below the surface.
We treat the infestation and correct the moisture conditions that caused it, instead of handing you to a second contractor.
Each home we visit is assessed through a pest lens and a moisture lens, because underneath a house they are the same problem.
We do not arrive with a predetermined treatment and a timer running. What we propose follows from what we find.
Children, pets and sensitive family members are part of the decision about what gets used and how it is applied.

Every home is different, so the cost depends on what we find during the inspection. We provide a written estimate based on the scope of work, access, and site conditions.
Pricing depends on the size of the property, the extent of the problem, and how easy the area is to access.
Indoor treatment alone is the wrong purchase if the pet is not being treated by a veterinarian at the same time, or if daily vacuuming for the following week is not going to happen. Without both, the population reseeds and the visit has to be repeated.
We put the scope and price in writing before work starts, so you know what has been recommended and what it will cost.
